Q-Park to support the Great Return to Work!

Find out more about how Q-Park are supporting businesses where staff are starting to return to work

With the UK aiming for normality as we move into the second half of 2021, despite the falling rate of COVID infection this won’t exactly be back to what life was like in 2019. As many offices open there will be commuters who will be reticent to start travelling into work on public transport due to lingering fears about being close to potentially infected individuals.

There is pressure on employers to source parking for their staff as this is considered the most socially distant way to commute into city centres. However, after a year of difficult financial trading many employers would find this financially unviable but Q-Park have found the answer. Q-Park have been ahead of the curve and have a solution that will assist both employees and employers.

The Employee Parking Platform is a scheme that Q-Park created 3 years ago, and they have many different businesses who have signed up to use them. Their popularity is in their simplicity and setting them up is as easy as 1,2,3:

1) The Employer negotiates a block purchase price with Q-Park but do not have to pay a penny!

2) Q-Park set up a discount portal that is unique to the employer.

3) The employer then sends the link to their employees who purchase their season tickets at the discounted rate through the portal.

Q-Park offer a wide range of different products to suit the more flexible and agile working patterns that have arisen since COVID such as the requirement to go into the office only a few days a week. The Flexi120 and Flexi60 Season Tickets provide set hours of parking per month for those working just a few days in the city centre per week. The standard Unlimited and Weekday products provide full time access for those returning to pre-COVID work life.

Q-Park are always striving to introduce new technology that will assist with the changes that this brave new world has forced upon the population. Their state-of-the-art PaSS system means that customers can enter and exit the car park using just their number plate so there will shortly be no need to even touch any equipment in the parking facilities. The roll out of this is gathering pace with 6 car parks already live and being used by existing season ticket holders.
