Q-Park are delighted to announce that they have been nominated for a CiTTi Award. The winner will be revealed at a dazzling gala dinner on the 21st of November, where there will be more than 200 transportation industry professionals in attendance!
Organised by CiTTi Magazine, CiTTi Awards 2023 recognises and celebrates the hard work and innovation demonstrated by public-sector and private-sector organisations in enabling the clean, safe and efficient movement of people, goods and materials through urban environments in the UK. Q-Park have been nominated for the Smart Parking Award.
The Smart Parking category recognises intelligent approaches to the planning and management of parking, as well as advances in the systems used to manage parking. It looks for examples of ‘joined-up’ or lateral thinking that deliver solutions to on-street and off-street needs and examples of innovation – be it a piece of hardware, device or wider system – that makes the management of parking more efficient and/or customer-friendly. Q-Park were nominated for this award for their innovative Mobility Hub at Q-Park Park Lane in London.
Q-Park are at the forefront of the European Parking industry in the creation of Mobility Hubs. The aim is to evolve parking facilities to become vital instruments to help realise urban accessibility, sustainability and liveability. In addition to car parking, Q-Park aims to provide access for shared mobility schemes, rapid electric fleet charging, last mile delivery and retail spaces all housed within their safe and secure multi-purpose parking facilities. The Park Lane parking facility is their best example of a Mobility on the basis that it contains pretty much all the different pieces that make up the Mobility Hub jigsaw. It has provided tangible green benefits to the local area, as an example, Oxford Street was considered as one of London’s most polluted streets with most of this coming from traditional service vehicles. Keeping these out of this area and encouraging more active or electric travel into this space instead has really started to show the beginnings of the transformation of this space much to the benefit of visitors and commuters alike. Adam Bidder, Managing Director commented ‘We are delighted to be nominated for the first time for a CiTTi Award. This demonstrates our commitment to sustainable urban mobility across the cities we operate in. We look forward to the Awards and hope to add to our trophy cabinet!’
