Established in 2002 by Parking Review magazine, the British Parking Awards have become one of the industry’s leading celebrations of excellence. The awards recognise achievements across parking management, design, customer experience and innovation. Q-Park has enjoyed continued success, securing multiple awards and nominations over the years. This recognition reflects Q-Park’s commitment to high-quality parking facilities, innovation and continually improving the experience for customers.
The Best New Car Park Award recognises excellence in the design, construction and delivery of new parking facilities. It celebrates projects that demonstrate innovative design, high-quality construction and careful planning to create attractive, practical and distinctive car parks that complement their surroundings. Open to organisations involved in the development and operation of parking facilities, the category includes newly built multi-storey, underground and surface car parks. Entries are recognised for the overall quality of their design, construction and delivery, as well as the positive contribution they make to the wider area.
Located within Gloucester’s landmark The Forum development, Q-Park The Forum provides nearly 400 parking spaces and 44 EV charging points, creating a modern Mobility Hub in the heart of the city. The facility has now been recognised with the Best New Car Park Award, highlighting the quality, innovation and attention to detail that went into its design and delivery. One of its most distinctive features is the impressive living wall that wraps around the exterior of the building, comprising thousands of plants and helping the facility complement the wider development. The car park also incorporates modern parking technology, including Q-Park’s PaSS Automatic Number Plate Recognition system, providing customers with a straightforward ticketless parking experience. The combination of innovative technology, extensive EV charging provision, high-quality design and a distinctive external appearance has created a facility that supports both the current and future parking needs of Gloucester City Centre.
