While the price of EVs is dropping, the bigger question remains: Where will you charge them once you’ve made the switch?
The Government recently announced generous new grants of up to £3,750 on selected electric vehicles, making the transition to electric more financially appealing than ever. But while the price of EVs is dropping, the bigger question remains: Where will you charge them once you’ve made the switch? For many new EV owners, the answer lies in choosing charging options that are convenient, reliable, and fit seamlessly into their daily routines, whether that’s at home, on the road, or right where they park in the city.
Incentives Are a Start, Infrastructure Is the Solution
The new grants apply to EVs costing up to £37,000, with the most environmentally friendly models benefiting the most. Once approved, these discounts are automatically applied at dealerships, no paperwork needed! It’s an exciting step toward a cleaner transport future, with the government setting an ambitious goal to transition from petrol and diesel to fully electric cars by 2030.
The UK’s EV network is growing quickly, with over 1.3 million electric vehicles already on the road and 86,000 EV Charging Points, a number that continues to climb every month. Drivers increasingly want to park and charge in the same place, fitting charging seamlessly into their daily routine.
Whether it’s a quick top-up while you shop, a full charge during a workday, or peace of mind when parking overnight, the most convenient charging is the kind that’s already part of your journey. And with more EVs on the road than ever, demand for reliable, centrally located charging stations is consistently rising.
