British Parking Awards 2019, Q-Park UK

Q-Park UK have been nominated for three British Parking Awards

Q-Park are delighted to announce that they have been nominated for three British Parking Awards. The annual awards celebrate the best of the best in the British Parking industry in the previous year. Q-Park have been nominated for the Parking Technology Award, the Parking as a Service Award and the Parking in the Community Award.

The Q-Park Rewards app has really grabbed the attention of the jury and has been nominated for two separate awards. On this ground-breaking new scheme customers earn a minimum of 10% cashback from their parking spend at Q-Park car parks but also earn differing percentages from spending with different retail and restaurant brands. These include River Island, Caffe Nero, Boots, Waitrose and many more.

Customers can then redeem their mobile wallet as cash into their bank account or retailer e-vouchers to spend as they wish. Effectively the customer is able to pay for the parking through the savings that they make during their shopping day! Q-Park hope that this innovative approach to loyalty is going to revolutionise the relationship between the High Street and Parking Industry to help to drive increased footfall to city centres as well as help increase customer satisfaction.

The app has been nominated for the Parking Technology Award and the Parking as a Service Award. The first award recognises advances in the technology of parking and the innovation that makes parking management more efficient and user friendly. The Parking as a Service Award is a new category and recognises how parking providers can create a positive experience for motorists. The category rewards work done by parking providers to create easy-to-understand and person-centric services.

Parking is an essential public service and can be a positive contributor to local communities. The Parking in the Community Award will recognise people working within the parking sector who have engaged with and supported their local communities. In partnership with ParkCloud, Q-Park provided the space at Q-Park First Street for the Park(ing) Day event. Local colleges were invited to decorate a parking space with what Manchester and Mobility meant to them. The lucky winner, Saskia Gentile won £500 towards her further education.

John Denton, Head of Sales & Marketing of Q-Park said ‘We are delighted to have been nominated for three of these prestigious awards. We are eagerly anticipating the awards ceremony in the hope that we will be crowned the winners in these exceptionally competitive categories.’

The awards are held on the 8th March in Central London.
