Park Mark Plus awards for two Q-Park facilities in Edinburgh

Q-Park continues to demonstrate the highest standards across its parking operations in Scotland.

Q-Park continues to demonstrate the highest standards across its parking operations in Scotland.

Two Edinburgh car parks managed by Q-Park have recently achieved the prestigious Park Mark Plus award.  This is a fantastic achievement recognising that these parking facilities meet the highest standards.

Building on the well-regarded Safer Parking Scheme’s Park Mark award, Park Mark Plus recognises only the highest quality car parks. Park Mark is the accredited logo of the Safer Parking Scheme, which is given to parking facilities that have achieved the requirements of a risk assessment conducted by the Police and the British Parking Association.  Their assessments include management and maintenance of the facility, checking that there are appropriate levels of surveillance, lighting, signage and cleanliness.  All these are known to reduce the opportunity for crime and thus create a safer environment for the motorist and their vehicle.

The award of Park Mark Plus demonstrates that a facility provides police-approved accredited parking and has reached the standards of Park Access and a range of environmental, structural, operational and customer service criteria.

Rebecca Riley Q-Park Assistant Business Manager, Scotland said: ‘I am delighted that the Q-Park Capital Square and Q-Park OMNI have both achieved the Park Mark Plus standard which is only awarded to car parks that can demonstrate the highest quality in parking by meeting strict criteria.’

'Q-Park has worked closely over the years with the BPA and Police Scotland to maintain the high standards that are required for all Q-Park car parks to achieve the Safer Parking Scheme Park Mark awards. This is a significant endorsement of ongoing investment to upgrade and improve our parking facilities and we are delighted to be awarded the Park Mark Plus. Our customers can be assured that Q-Park continually strives to provide safe, accessible parking, with clearly designated parking for parents with small children, disabled bays and the forthcoming EV Charging Points.’

William Clark BPA Area Manager said: ‘I am delighted that Q-Park has achieved these Park Mark Plus awards, which once again demonstrates their hard work and commitment to provide a safe parking facility for users.’
