Q-Park are delighted to announce that they have been nominated for a Decarbonising Transport Award. The winners are due to be announced on the 27th March in a ceremony hosted by Robert Llewellyn.

The Decarbonising Transport Awards are a newly established initiative, with their inaugural ceremony set to take place this year. The awards were created to recognise the individuals, teams, partnerships, and innovations leading the transition toward a zero‑carbon transport future. They celebrate excellence across a wide range of categories from public transport and highways decarbonisation to digital innovation, behaviour change, and leadership in local government. They aim to highlight the bold action and forward‑thinking needed to shape cleaner, fairer, and more sustainable mobility. Beyond recognition, the awards aim to inspire momentum across the sector by showcasing best practice, spotlighting pioneers, and motivating the industry to push further and faster toward net‑zero transport.

The award that Q-Park have been nominated for is the Best EV Project Award. This Award recognises an organisation that has successfully implemented a high‑impact EV Charging scheme demonstrating clear, measurable, and long‑term carbon‑saving benefits. This award celebrates projects that not only deliver substantial environmental gains, but also showcase innovation, scalability and a meaningful contribution to accelerating the transition toward a low‑carbon transport network.

Q‑Park were nominated in this category for their nationwide rollout of a modern EV Charging Network, now featuring over 500 charging points across their city centre parking facilities. This growing network demonstrates Q‑Park’s commitment to supporting the rise in electric vehicles by providing reliable, accessible infrastructure in high demand urban locations. Their sustained investment, upgrades to older systems, and ability to overcome complex installation challenges have helped create one of the UK’s most comprehensive city centre EV charging offerings.

Adam Bidder, Managing Director commented “We are absolutely thrilled to be nominated for a Decarbonising Transport Award. Being recognised alongside such respected organisations from both the public and private sectors highlights the scale, ambition and ongoing impact of this project. It’s a fantastic acknowledgement of the hard work and collaboration behind our EV charging journey so far and we look forward to celebrating with our peers at the awards ceremony in March.”
