Hallowscream transforms York Maze into a terrifying Halloween attraction, featuring immersive haunted houses, live performers, dramatic special effects and unexpected scares.
With more than 100 performers creating a chilling atmosphere across the site, the event combines horror entertainment with live music, food, drinks and fairground attractions.
Hallowscream 2026 features five immersive haunted house experiences, each designed to test your nerves:
Standard admission includes unlimited entry to the five haunted houses, allowing visitors to revisit their favourite scares throughout the evening.
For 2026, Hallowscream introduces Corntagion, an additional horror experience that takes visitors into the cornfield on a terrifying trailer ride.
Corntagion is charged separately from standard admission, although selected premium ticket packages include access.
Beyond the haunted houses, visitors can enjoy live stage performances, roaming scare actors, music and a lively Halloween party atmosphere.
The event also features food outlets, bars, merchandise stalls and fairground rides, making Hallowscream a full evening of entertainment rather than simply a haunted house attraction.
Hallowscream is a popular Halloween attraction, and tickets for peak dates can sell out well in advance.
