Taking place on Halloween night, Tim Burton's Universe combines live music with the gothic, magical and eccentric atmosphere associated with some of Burton's best-known films.
At the heart of the concert is the music of Danny Elfman, whose long-running collaboration with Tim Burton has produced some of cinema's most distinctive scores. Mystery Ensemble's programme includes music from Batman, Corpse Bride, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, Alice in Wonderland and other favourites.
The historic surroundings of Llandaff Cathedral provide a particularly fitting setting for the performance. Mystery Ensemble's arrangements combine voices and instruments with the Cathedral's architecture to create an immersive live experience.
