River of Light returns to Liverpool from 23 October to 1 November 2026, transforming the city centre with spectacular light installations from leading UK and international artists.
This year's theme, 'Together', celebrates how light can bring people and communities closer. Visitors can explore 12 illuminated artworks across Liverpool Waterfront and the wider city centre, with installations extending into new locations including Williamson Square and St Paul's Square.
The event is completely free to attend and the artworks will be illuminated from 5pm until 9pm every evening. The self-guided route means you can explore the installations at your own pace, making River of Light a great autumn evening out for families, couples and groups visiting Liverpool.
