Poppleton's annual Bonfire & Firework Spectacular is a popular community celebration, combining a traditional bonfire with an impressive fireworks display and plenty of food and refreshments.
The event takes place at the Poppleton Community Centre, with proceeds helping to maintain and develop this important local facility.
The evening begins when gates open at 5pm, giving visitors time to enjoy the atmosphere before the bonfire is lit at 6:15pm.
The main fireworks display begins at 7:15pm, filling the sky above Poppleton with colour and providing a memorable Bonfire Night experience for families and friends.
Visitors can enjoy a selection of refreshments throughout the evening, including burgers, hotdogs, Asian street food, loaded fries, cakes and hot sandwiches.
Hot drinks and bar facilities will also be available, making it easy to enjoy the celebrations while keeping warm on a November evening.
Poppleton Bonfire & Firework Spectacular takes place on Thursday 5 November 2026, from 5pm until 9pm.
Tickets cost £12 for adults and £6 for children aged 5–16, while children under five can attend free of charge.
Tickets must be purchased in advance, as they will not be available at the gate. Visitors are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.

There is no general parking at the event venue. The organisers provide free parking at Poppleton Bar Park & Ride and Poppleton Community Football Pavilion.
A free shuttle operates between Poppleton Bar Park & Ride and the event. The final shuttle to the venue departs at 7pm, with the last return shuttle at approximately 9:15pm.
