Cardiff Music City Festival is a city-wide celebration of music and creativity, bringing together international performers, established Welsh artists and emerging talent for a packed programme across the capital.
The 2026 festival includes performances from artists such as Ibibio Sound Machine, Gwenno, Joe Webb Trio, Yonaka and Adult DVD, alongside a wide range of grassroots and emerging artists appearing at venues throughout Cardiff.
A major part of the programme is Llais, Wales Millennium Centre's international arts festival, taking place from 7 to 11 October. The Welsh Music Prize follows on 7 October, celebrating outstanding music made in Wales or by Welsh artists.
The final days of Cardiff Music City Festival include Sŵn Festival from 15 to 17 October, when venues around Womanby Street and the wider city centre host three days of new and emerging music.
