Morden Tower is one of Newcastle’s most distinctive medieval landmarks, standing on the historic city walls close to the heart of the city centre. Built around 1290, it is one of five surviving drum towers from the original sixteen that once formed part of Newcastle’s medieval defences. Today, the tower is recognised as both a Scheduled Ancient Monument and Grade I listed building.
