Aire Park is the latest landmark in Leeds’ South Bank transformation, a vast 24-acre mixed-use district built around the city’s largest new green space. Designed to revitalise a former industrial zone, the development spans acres of landscaped parkland, modern office buildings, riverside walkways, theatrical event spaces, and cultural hubs centred around the refurbished Art Deco Tetley building.
At its heart lie areas such as the Tetley Triangle, an open event square ideal for markets and concerts, the Theatre Gardens for relaxed quiet time, and a sensory garden complete with amphitheatre-style seating. A green promenade sweeps through, connecting South Bank with Leeds Station via the newly added David Oluwale footbridge, with over 700 trees to bring nature into the city centre.
The development is opening bit by bit, and there's already a lot open ready to visit!
For drivers visiting Aire Park, Q-Park Sovereign Square offers convenient parking just a short walk from the entrance. Located near Sovereign Square’s business and retail district, the facility is thoughtfully laid out with easy navigation and bright lighting. Visitors may pre-book their space online, ensuring smoother access to the park and surrounding attractions in busy central Leeds.
