Meet the senior leadership team at Q-Park.
Steve Ellis joined Q-Park UK as Finance Director in September 2009, having previously been F.D. of IDS Logistics Ltd. and was additionally appointed F.D. of Q-Park Ireland in 2013.
A Mathematics graduate of the University of Birmingham, Steve began his career in 1986 as a trainee Chartered Accountant with KPMG. In 1991 he joined FTSE quoted Peter Black Holdings plc and in 1996 was appointed Group Financial Controller.
Head of Sales & Marketing
John Denton joined the business in 2011 and is responsible for all sales, marketing and partnership activity in the UK and Ireland.
Prior to joining Q-Park, John had many years of senior management positions in the moving and relocation industry with Pickfords as well as having sales leadership roles in the plant hire and modular buildings industry with Ashtead Plant.
Head of Operations (GB)
Darren Maskrey joined the business in January 2019 and is responsible for the City Centre Operation across GB.
Prior to joining Q-Park, Darren had many years of senior management experience at Area / Divisional / Business Unit Director level in Retail, Buying and Retail Solutions. Darren has over twenty years in retail having worked at Morrisons, Aldi, One Stop Convenience stores and Dee Set, which included support services such as Store Development, Merchandising and Field Marketing. Darren also has experience of managing remote teams - up to 2,800 employees, through a tiered management structure.
Outside of retail, Darren had spent five years in the Armed Forces, Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment.
Head of Operations Healthcare - Airports & Customer care (GB)
Carly Gilchrist joined the business in May 2019 and is responsible for the Healthcare, Airports and Customer care across GB.
Prior to joining Q-Park, Carly had over 16 years parking industry knowledge working firstly in recruitment as a National Account Manager and supplying labour for parking companies and then 12 years experience at Area/ Senior/Divisional Manager level working directly in parking. Carly also has experience of managing remote teams through a tiered management structure across England, Scotland and NI.
