Adam Bidder (UK Managing Director)

Adam Bidder was appointed Finance Director in April 2007 and promoted to Managing Director in January 2008. Prior to joining Q-Park, Adam was Director of Finance at RAC, part of the Norwich Union / Aviva Group. Before this he spent 8 years with Kelda Group where he held a number of senior positions in Kelda and Yorkshire Water, latterly in the role of Finance Director for Kelda Water Services working on PFI and infrastructure propositions. Adam graduated in Economics and Accounting from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.

 

T.J.F. Thuis (Country Director)

Theo Thuis, career began at the Regional Council of ‘s-Hertogenbosch followed by the position of Deputy Managing Director of the Business Development Company ‘s-Hertogenbosch. In 1992 he joined the municipal council of Maastricht, where he acted as director of economic affairs and business development of the region. Mr. Thuis became Managing Director of Social and Economic Affairs of the City of Maastricht. Mr. Thuis joined the Executive Board of Q-Park NV on January 1, 2001.

Scott Malloch - Head of Human Resources
Scott Malloch graduated in economics from the University of Lancaster and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. His early career began within the public sector before moving into the private sector in 1990. Since then he has held senior HR roles with a number of blue chip organisations. Prior to joining Q-Park Ltd. in November 2006, Scott worked for Pilkington where he was most recently HR Manager for the UK. 

 

Richard Powell - Head of Commercial Development 

His current role incorporates developing the financial appraisal and business plan for all new sites and acquisitions.
Richard is a Chartered Accountant with a degree in mathematics. He worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers for 12 years where he obtained a wide range of experience working for a portfolio of listed clients, particularly focusing on acquisitions and the property sector.
Since joining Q-Park in 2000 his role has focused on providing commercial, financial and legal expertise to the acquisition and project team, ensuring the timely delivery of contract documentation. 2006 included the conclusion of ten contracts with a value in excess of £40 million. During this period he has worked on a number of PFI/PPP projects including the Taunton project, Birmingham New Hospital and the Sale project and on going negotiations on a further four hospital car parking PPP projects. In this project based role Richard has the ability, expertise and capacity to focus on individual projects to ensure their timely completion and understands the complex processes involved in PFI/PPP projects.

 

 

John Pearson - Business Manager - City Centre and Healthcare 

John Pearson has worked for over 30 years within the service sector. Formerly 20 years at general & senior management level for Kodak Limited, delivering a variety of roles across the UK & Europe. These included driving customer service improvement, productivity improvement and innovation, launching new products, equipment installations plus client liaison for major high st retailers.

Since Joining Q Park in 2004, John has managed all three divisions of their business, introducing Operational Best Practice to support and compliment their already renowned market leading QP design & housestlye. This covers all operational and local sales aspects from staff appraisal & training, management control systems, KPI delivery & reporting, Customer Service delivery, Clean & Safe systems and local marketing & partnership programmes. As Business Manager John Pearson is wholly responsible for Q-Park's local brand delivery, site P&L's, revenue growth, etc leading to some innovative operational and sales Initiatives.

 

Jim Rayner - Head of Healthcare Contracts

Jim Rayner is a Surveyor and Valuer from the commercial property sector. His fifteen years at senior level in the parking industry have given him solid experience in funding, investment, project management, project economics and planning matters.

In his current role he is responsible for all aspects of the company's healthcare acquisitions in the UK. Within this role he is also responsible for the contract management and relationship with each Trust. He has been involved in delivering a philosophy of providing parking as a service and not just an attended facility. Jim has seen many of the problems associated with hospital parking and as such understands and has experience in dealing with these issues, which include the social, political, financial and staff-related pressures that are faced by many Trusts. He has direct experience of relevant KPIs; Service Level Agreements; Output Specifications; Payment Mechanisms; Phasing / Interim Agreements; Revenue Guarantees; Project Mobilisation and PFI documentation generally.
