ChildLine gets support from Q-Park
The organisation, which provides a 24-hour helpline service for children and young people, has been given a complimentary parking space at Q-Park’s Candleriggs car park in Glasgow, close to ChildLine Scotland’s office.
ChildLine will be able to use the secure parking facilities at Q-Park Candleriggs, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is of great relief to the volunteers, enabling them to feel safe & secure whilst parking & returning to their car late at night or during the early hours of the morning.
Zoey Faulkner, Senior Fundraiser at Childline Scotland said: ""We are very grateful to Q-Park for supplying us with a year's pass. Every penny we cn save on running costs can go back into our vital helpline service for children and young people. When you consider that it costs ChildLine £38 to counsel every child or young person who calls you can see why we welcome any saving. We'd like to thank Q-Park for their generosity and for supporting ChildLine Scotland in this way"
Q-Parks’ Chief Executive Officer Alan Ashbee added: “We are very proud to support ChildLine and delighted that we can help in some way – not just by saving costs, but by ensuring staff have fast, convenient and safe access to their office.”
