Q-Park raises funds for cancer charity
November 2004
Q-Park has raised over £1000 for the Linda McCartney Centre at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
The money was raised at the official opening of Q-Park’s new £4.5 million, 510-space multi-storey car park at the hospital, with Q-Park donating £15 for each person attending the launch event.
Alan Ashbee, Q-Park Ltd. CEO said ‘On behalf of Q-Park, I am delighted to announce that following the successful launch party at the Royal Liverpool a donation of over £1000 has been given to the Linda McCartney Centre, which I am sure will be greatly received’.
The Linda McCartney Centre is a specialist state of the art treatment centre for a variety of cancers including breast cancer. Opened by Cherie Blair in November 2000, the centre treats 6000 — 7000 women with breast cancer each year and is directly linked to Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology on the Wirral, one of the largest cancer centres in the UK.
