Airport FAQ: Do we pay when we book?

In order for your booking to be confirmed, Q-Park, or its appointed agent must receive payment.

Airport FAQ: How far in advance should I book?

As far ahead as possible to avoid disappointment. Our services are very popular and many of our customers book up to a year ahead to ensure a smooth and relaxed start to their journey.

Airport FAQ: How frequently do the transfer buses run?

When you book a car park where a transfer service is in operation, you will find the details of that service on your confirmation documents. Generally, however, transfers run between every five and every 20 minutes depending on the car park. Q-Park recommends you arrive between 30 and 40 minutes before your airline check-in desk opens.

Airport FAQ: Is it necessary to PreBook?

Yes, in order to secure your discounted price and to GUARANTEE your parking space. 'Turn Up' (or gate) prices are nearly always more expensive and airport car parks are increasingly fully booked well before your date of travel.

Airport FAQ: Is the car park secure and insured/who is liable for any damage?

All services are subject to availability and to the current terms and conditions of the service provider, full details of which are available on request. At off airport car parks your car will be parked for you in a secure compound. Car claims cannot be considered unless reported prior to departure from the car park. No liability is accepted for loss or damage unless it is proved to be caused by negligence of the service provider.

Airport FAQ: What is the process for sending confirmation by post/fax/e-mail/internet?

Our standard confirmations are delivered by post and despatches are made twice daily Monday to Friday and we therefore recommend that bookings are made at least a week in advance. For shorter notice we can send details by Fax and e-mail. Confirmations are available on the internet and can be selected once the booking is complete.

Airport FAQ: What should I do when I get to the car park?

All of our secure car parks have a similar procedure, but for the exact details please refer to the brochure accompanying your confirmation voucher. Alternatively you may find this information on this web site under the car park in question.

Airport FAQ: What special facilities exist for disabled passengers?

Most car parks have special arrangements for the lesser-abled passengers and Q-Park is pleased to be able to ensure that car parks are aware of your requirements in advance.

Airport FAQ: Why am I being charged for 8 (or 15) days when I am only going away for 7 (or 14) nights?

Parking is charged per day or part thereof, as opposed to per 24 hours. This means, for example, that Saturday to Saturday is a total of 8 days charge.

Are there any vacancies in your organisation?

When vacancies arise at Q-Park they are posted in the 'Working for Q-Park' section of this website.
Go to 'Working for Q-Park' >

Can my season card be used at more than one of your car parks?

What is a Park Mark Award?

The Association of Chief Police Officers' Secured Car Parks Scheme was launched in 1992 and has recently updated in October 2004 to the Park Mark Scheme. Its aim was to reduce crime in all types of car parks and bring car parks up to a 'secured' standard.

Car parks must display good design and management practices, good surveillance by CCTV or regular patrols, good lighting, provision of help points and controlled pedestrian and vehicle entry and exit points.

Crime in car parks can be reduced by about 70% if they have 'secured' status.

Where are your car parks located?

We have many sites throughout the United Kingdom and northern Europe located in prime towns and cities. These car parks range from multi-stories and one-deck sites to underground car parking facilities and off-airport parking with valet parking services.

Q-Park is always looking for new investment opportunities and is keen to develop the Q-Park brand and the Q-Park product further in the UK.
