Award winning international car parking company Q-Park has signed a lease with Hines Global REIT (Hines) and Moorfield Group (Moorfield) to manage the Canalside Car Park at Brindleyplace for 50 years.
Q-Park is one of the top three leading providers of parking facilities in Europe and is renowned for its high quality standards in parking and has successfully modernised many existing locations, winning the award for the ‘Best Refurbished Car Park’ at the British Parking Awards in 2011.
The popular 903 space, multi-storey car park at Brindleyplace, in the heart of the city’s convention quarter, will enjoy a host of upgrades during the next two years. These improvements will bring it in line with the very best of UK and European counterparts, providing an excellent service for those customers visiting the hotels, restaurants, bars, Conference Centre, Symphony Hall, Sea Life Centre, gym, gallery and National Indoor Arena, all situated nearby.
In line with their quest for excellence in all aspects of car parking, Q-Park will install state-of-the-art parking equipment, improve the signage and upgrade the lighting, reinforcing the Brindleyplace car park’s clean, bright and customer-friendly reputation.
The Q-Park team will carry forward and improve on the measures that are in place at the Brindleyplace car park to ensure the public feels safe; with 54 close circuit cameras, the car park will be monitored 24/7 by Q-Park hosts who will also make regular patrols to ensure safety and maintain cleanliness. In keeping with the high standards of service, synonymous with the Q-Park brand, in addition to the existing electric car charging points and waste recycling stations, the site will be equipped with a free buggy and umbrella hire and a jump starter and heart defibrillator in case of emergencies.
